EXCURSIÓN A LA ISLA SAONA
El Catalina Snorkel trip es un hermoso viaje para toda la familia, ¡incluidos los buceadores! Por la mañana, lo recogeremos en su hotel y, en un autobús con aire acondicionado, lo llevaremos a través del pintoresco paisaje de la provincia de Altagracia y la ciudad capital de Higüey con su famosa basílica. Una vez que lleguemos a La Romana y la lancha rápida-catamarán, la tripulación lo recibirá a bordo. Después de una breve sesión informativa, nos dirigiremos a nuestro primer sitio de buceo y snorkel: The Wall. Aquí haremos snorkel sobre un hermoso arrecife con muchos corales duros y blandos y una gran cantidad de peces. Nos quedamos aquí aproximadamente 1 hora para disfrutar de la belleza del mundo submarino mientras los buceadores se dirigen hacia el muro para una inmersión profunda. Después de esta primera parada, nos dirigimos al lado norte de Isla Catalina, donde disfrutamos de un almuerzo caribeño con barbacoa y muchas bebidas. Aquí también aprovechamos la oportunidad para hacer snorkel desde la playa mientras los buceadores se dirigen a su segunda inmersión en el sitio de buceo poco profundo "Acuario". Los amantes del snorkel podrán disfrutar del sol y la playa, acompañados, por supuesto, de un Cuba Libre o Santo Libre u otro refresco de su elección. Por la tarde, regresaremos a La Romana y, en el viaje en autobús de regreso a Bávaro, podremos relajarnos y, posiblemente, tomar una siesta después de un hermoso día en el paraíso caribeño.
Everything you need to know about your Saona Island Tour
Our tour conveniently picks you up from your hotel in an air-conditioned bus. Many of our guests are collected from Punta Cana or Bayahibe but speak to our team about you unique collection requirements. We'll drive you through the scenic landscape of the Province of Altagracia and the capital town of Higuey with its famous basilica.
Once the Caribbean shoreline, the crew of the speedboat-catamaran will welcome you aboard. For one way to the island we go by speedboat and the other way by sailing on our catamaran - this gives you the best of both worlds! Our experienced crew will brief you on all safety requirements and will also give you a lesson on snorkeling if you are a beginner.
First off, we will briefly stop in front of Bayahibe for some quick snorkeling, then we will head on to the coral coast of the protected National Park. Here, you will get to experience the famous natural pool - a must-do experience during your stay in the Dominican Republic! You'll take a dip in the crystal water of the Caribbean Sea; we promise that this will be one of the highlights of your snorkeling tour!
Next up, we will head to the breathtaking beach of Isla Saona and get off the boat so that you can enjoy lunch. You will enjoy a traditional Dominican buffet lunch featuring some of our famous seafood. You'll be surrounded by white sandy beaches and untouched palm trees; Saona is considered among one of the best beaches to explore on your trip.
After you have finished exploring the island's best bits, we'll return by boat to the shore. Your bus ride back will give you the chance to unwind from an unforgettable day trip to Saona Island.
