Isla Catalinita Excursion

Catalinita is a tiny island in the passage between mainland Dominican Republic and Saona Island close to the border between the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea. Catalinita Island has a rich marine life and is a popular diving and snorkelling site. The island is uninhabited  and part of the Parque del Este natural reserve.




We pick you up at your hotel and with an airconditioned bus we drive to Bayahibe where we board our diveboat and set sail to the island of Catalinita. Our first dive will be at the natural drop off of about 6 to 8 meters, we follow this underwater-ridge while the boat is following us.

  
Our second dive will be at Sharkpoint where there is a high possibility to meet sharks and large rays. Here also we follow the natural underwater-ridge. Mos of the time we see here turtles which swim along with us.

Catalinita is a real adventure-dive for the more experienced diver!
